Gary has been a valued member of the Nordic team since September 2001. Gary and his family emigrated to Canada in 1997 from South Africa and started his apprenticeship as a refrigeration mechanic in 1999. Gary qualified as a red seal refrigeration mechanic in 2003 and received the “Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic 4th year Alberta provincial 1st place E.O. Shaffer memorial award.”
Gary is a member of the Local Alberta Apprenticeship board and is passionate about training apprentice’s hands on and providing resources to improve their skill levels in all aspects of the trade.
He is involved in the day to day operations with the technicians in the field, meeting with customers, making recommendations for the improvement of the building HVAC&R systems, submitting quotes to implementing the changes. Most recently Gary has been promoted to Service Manager and is ready to for this next chapter with Nordic. As Gary always says, “Positive Waves!”.
